snco 2005

slept for 14hrs yesterday. not immediately after i reached hm at 330. but at about 630.
this camp is another new experience, memory and journey for me. not with the trainees but with the trainers. glab that some people actually helps me to straighten my thoughts. love the corridor programme that we went through. that seems to be the most worthwhile moment i had in the camp. achieving what i want to.
had little connections w the trainees this time. thats good. at least i wont get pissed off by them if i had. haha. infact, being with trainers of older ages than me has allowed me to observe them, listen to them.
made my own gunpowder can for campfire. really satisfied with the outcome. luckily it did work! hahaa. though i was grumbling and complaining throughout the making of it, i've learnt a new skill! hee. can make it for other upcoming campfire! its the peak of the whole event ok!
im still sick. been coughin n coughin and worse still! i develop rashes during the 3rd and 4th days!! it itchs like hell and made me look really ugly with it! it goes frm arms to thighs, to upper arms and face! and today to legs and stomach! went to doc this morning. its mostlikely the aftermaths of my fever. im not going to eat the drowy medicine!!
the camp itself ended abruptly. break camp is just so out. a lot of things are missing. i cant explain..

bad start for camp..

havent been blogging for days.. im now down with fever, flu, sore throat and cough. doc even suspect lungcancer! shitty.. scare me only.. haiii.. really wonder how m i going to pass through the 3nights camp starting frm tml..
was reali sick on weekends. but bcoz of snco, i still went for the course days on sat n sun.. tt last frm morning till evening.. didnt get to see doc.. who can understd how i feel.. how much i've sacrifice.. haiiii
the nights were terrible.. all i felt was lk a walking zombie.. breathless, restless, moodless.. feeling cold outside, hot inside.. flip flop flap on the bed zillion times couldnt get myself into dreams.. failed my counting of sheeps as well.. waking up.. falling down.. until the sky is bright and i got myself up for tt day's st john activity. haiii.. a sj slave..
sat was the first day and had opening parade @ the end.. i was the parade orderly once again.. things were ok for me.. endured through jus to get the parade done.. running 38.3degrees..
sun was trainer enhancement day.. yes.. as it goes.. for trainers only.. haiii.. running 38.6degrees.. but still.. live through..
camp starting tml but im so reluctant to go.. this yr got no mdm wenmei, xiao ting, da ting, chuiyee, no sir ben, chong boon, philip, no chiying, no angela... haiiii.. missed my last yr's frens loads!
this yr is so by-the-book.. fussy.. picky.. even trainers are hostile to trainers.. hello.. we're volunteers ok!.. worse of all.. we hav trainers appraisal.. meaning our superior gets to grade us.. and tt shall determine if we can go for next yr's officer course.. wad crappy business is this.. volunteers get graded.. as if i care abt my rank.
the only gd thing is tt everything is brought up during meetings to discuss.. (sarcastically) even tiny things like hairnet (to wear or not to wear) they also hav a discussion abt it.. haha! i was havin a grt laugh though. the whole camp is lack of a very important element.. that is 'ren qing wei'.. in english means.. human to human kind of relationship.. they hav no love.. no care n concern.. no sharing.. that's wad i felt.
wadeva it is.. shall nt disclose much jus in case any trainees gt to read this.. opps.. haha.
im reminded of the goals tt i've set. must achieve!

airport trips

jus bak frm airport once again. to send shengjie n family off to korea. wohoo. its the moment they walked into the departure hall, that i realised how much i feel like flying off too! haiii..
received jianhong yesterdae. his hair grew much longer! guess sydney's haircut is expensive! haha. anyway, was happier waiting for his arrival then departure. everyone were anxiously waiting for his appearance. to add onto our anxiety, jianxiang(cousin) created lots of laughter with "there! that's him! the ang moh!" & another sec, "there!! his girlfren comes out first! the ang moh girl!" hahaa.. and he was saying "why does the board reports with the word 'landed' only? they should add in descriptive words for example, 'safely landed'!" ahhaa.. good question. but its redundant larh. then he said "for those that almost not landed will be 'luckily landed'!" hahaa!! and "the worse is the C word larh, crash!" hahaaa.. oh man. can u imagine how will the people at the airport react when they see the 'extra' descriptions? haha! joker.
then i rushed down to gvss for snco opening parade rehearsal. surprised at how cohesive dhs corps is. felt so green. and im the only tp representative. haii. so lucky to have at least sir andy (bsss) there whom i know better. training sucks of course. wad else can i expect? its nve good to be alone. or feel alone. training ended at 9pm. thoughts were drained.
todae met up with angela n joanna for k session! fabulous! fun singing but felt tt time goes very slowly todae. we've sang all our desired songs but there's still 30mins left! previously 5hrs were insufficient. oh! we got all sorts of ideas prepared for our wedding! is it too early to think abt it? hhaa! but we're practising them anyway.

mingdao

am i being too petty for getting angry with my best friend for a tiny thing?
well. im mad. im still furious. even the moment i think of her. yes, right now.
but i always believe that, if i get angry with you, that means i loved you before. obviously, love here is for a friend. yah. becoz if i had never loved you. i wouldnt be bothered even if you disappear frm this earth. therefore, my anger is painful.
the journey to tat kee tailor is awesome! haha. the whole place is full of factories! within minutes, we found the block. but up the stairs to 3rd floor was scary! haha. it just looks like some place where ppl got kidnap! or even rape! my kids faces turned the moment we reached the doorstep. luckily, i saw an auntie inside. "Auntie! zhe li you mai st john uniform mah?" (Auntie, do you sell st john uniform here?" I shouted to reassure myself before i walked in. haha. the auntie turned out to be very nice n friendly. got us into the office and get uniforms for us! phew. like the chinese words go 'you jing wu xian' (got shocked but were not harmed). hee. good experience though. get least i got my job done! =P
anyway, lately im so engrossed in this taiwanese celebrity ming dao!! the mao xian wang (adventurer)! not really engross, just find him so charming!! haha. incase u dont know who he is becoz u never watch the frog prince show on chnU..

bad/ life

today's badminton was fun!! though only 4 of us.. alison, jasper & brandon. we played seriously and i benefit a lot! perspired. (oh, hav u wonder why fish/gators dont sweat?) haha. just learnt the skill to smash! wohoo!! (must write it down.) played doubles with jasper. oh, he was my coach! hahaha. i got scolded!! till i 'on-form', i became his coach! hhahahaa. revenge!! good chemistry we've. brandon was good! he can smash very well. just need to pray for the net to be kinder to him. haha. then he'll b powerful! alison's still as good. always strong when hitting the shuttlecork to the rear corner. impressive. but i've tactic to go against that. hehee.
never know i can start badminton again since i put my racket down when i was P6. met really good players here in tpjc. great coaches! i've improved. =)
i was thinking, when i reached the day that i can stop schooling, (as in, no more exams, tests, homewk) i'll probably be lost. life will be meaningless. becoz i wouldnt need to strive for good results like i used to! then wad can i do? hmm..
a book smart does not definitely outwit a street smart.
tomorrow will be a hard day for me.. gona bring 2 of my kids to make their uniform. guess i'll lose my way for sure. haha. coz i've never been there and zewei said its rather difficult to find.. Undaunted by these, i'll prove that women do have a gd sense of direction. hahaha..

my cousin jianhong's coming bak from sydney this sunday! wohoo! finally. missed him! my mum is so anxious abt it! hahhaa.. yea. in fact all of us are! Os and As are over.. that means.. mine coming!! oh no. i mean oh yes! haha. embrace the inevitables yeah?

dinner

just came back frm dinner n a ride to orchard!
woo. dinner was good. though the place looks a little deserted, the tranquillity calms me greatly. fried salad prawns were marvelous! it just melts in your mouth. ooo... then the salad inside seeps out.. slurp!* =) its been long since i last tasted scallop. love it! its so soft and it breaks up into parts the moment you give it a gentle bite. yummy!*
haha enough of food. then went botanical garden for a slow walk. its my first time there man!! can't imagine! didnt get much time to walk ard. its already 7pm+.. guess wont be going there again.. in fact there's nth much to see. =)
then ride on to orchard rd! oo.. lightings for xmas were up! not very impressive though. saw the bow tt was mentioned in the straits times forum looking like the god of fortune's hat! hahaha.. in fact, it does look like one to me. though the decorators explained that it came from the idea- gift wrapping with the bow on top, ... hahaahaahaa.
going badminton tml! wohoo. but guess not many ppl will turn up..

sj dinner

typed a long post yesterdae. shitty. my sis placed a new plus into the switch and 'kapoo', everythings gone! sick. took a some time to calm myself.
had sj 70th anniversary dinner on tuesday @ neptune restaurant. sr nathan was the vvip. food was satisfatory. its 8 course meal! including sharksfin! we paid only $10 for it. heavily subsidiced by zone. went down after a pathetic badminton session w angela, van & chin. we roamed abt the place and search our way to collyer quay. we were subborn. refused to follow other corps people.
obviously, loads of officers and cadets of lower rank were present. wasnt the smallest fry there. saw many unimpressive officers. esp mdms in uniform but didnt bun up their hair! such a disgrace i thought! unlike the 4 of us, bunned up, polished boots, pinned up fringes!! took some pics outside the restaurant. the scenery was spectacular! with esplanade and other high rised buildings sparkling under the dark sky. nathan cut birthday cake & we sang birthdae song. for both sj and hweechin! so coincidental that her bday was celebrated w sj! haha!
todae, went plazasing for harry potter w charis & caleb! ooo.. charis & me bought one nachos each! hahaa. really eat until shoik man! movie was average i thought. if young children were to watch, i guess most parts they wont b able to understand. coz neither do i! haha! but the animations, sound effects were brilliant i find. fun shopping ard ps with charis. but too bad. left @ 6 coz i need to rush hm for the frog prince show!!!
